Department 488 is a programmatic and engineering services organization that liaisons with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Submarine Directorate Program Managers and engineers engaged in the support of Undersea Warfare enterprise operations. The Program Representative will provide liaison support to the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) for in-service submarine Electric Boat Planning Yard efforts. The Program Representative will support NAVSEA funding sponsors in forecasting future work, budget preparation, and the review/processing/tracking of Technical Instructions (TIs). The Program Representative will interface with various internal Electric Boat departments such as finance and engineering to resolve programmatic issues. The employee will be expected to maintain Common Access Card (CAC) credentials for access into controlled areas and DoN /DoD secure data systems. This position is located at the Washington Engineering Office (WEO) in Washington, D.C.
The Program Representative will be a self-starter and exhibit strong planning, problem solving, and communications skills. The candidate must be able to communicate professionally with NAVSEA customer on a daily basis.
