The SWFTS Systems Engineering and Integration Group (C4ISR Systems Integration and Engineering D442) requires an engineer to assist in Requirements Analysis, Network Development, System Engineering, Information Assurance and System Test efforts related to contractor furnished as well as Government furnished combat and network systems.
Engineers are required to lead or assist in the Network and System Engineering efforts ranging from initial system and component design through development, hardware/software integration, component qualification, test, construction support, delivery and post-delivery to include analysis and resolution of fleet identified problems.
This position will require that the engineer perform technology investigations and trade-studies, identify/resolve risks and validate methods to ensure producible end products. The candidate will also be required to interface with NAVSEA, Government vendors and other EB Departments.
4+ years’ experience in electronics system development, integration, installation, and test is required.
Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to interface with both internal and external customers is required.
Specific experience in submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES)/network systems is required
Significant experience with personal computers and intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access is required.
Experience working across multi-functional areas is required.
The ability to analyze information, identify problems and provide a proposed solution is required.
Navy experience is preferred.
U.S. Security clearance – Secret level is preferred.
Familiarity with Group Requirements List (GRL), Advanced Message Queuing Protocol (AMQP) and Microsoft Operating Systems is preferred.
Project management experience is preferred.
Strong organizational, communications and interpersonal skills and the ability to function independently are required. Candidates must be highly motivated team players.
Must be able to drive and meet schedules while maintaining quality.
