Located in Groton, CT - D442. C5ISR Systems Integration & Engineering Test Engineers apply their operational, maintenance and subject matter expertise to the development and testing of Non-Propulsion Electronics System (NPES) for new construction US Navy nuclear submarines. Leveraging the latest in state-of-the-art technologies, expertise is required for VIRGINIA Submarine systems including SubLan system. Test engineering opportunities range from initial system design through development, hardware/software integration, test, delivery and integration of the systems aboard nuclear submarines. For delivered submarines, test engineering efforts extend to the analysis and resolution of fleet identified problems, assessment of obsolescence issues and implementation of NPES modernization programs.
Required - Five to twenty-five years’ hands on experience relevant to a system in the job description. Ability to achieve secret level clearance is required.
Preferred - US Navy submarine experience involving the operation and maintenance of VIRGINIA Class SubLan System is highly desirable. Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred. Active Secret Clearance or higher is preferred.
Test Engineer positions require task management skills to coordinate and direct diverse test evolutions and troubleshooting efforts. Test Engineers must possess extensive knowledge of NPES operation and maintenance as well as familiarity with submarine construction and test philosophies.
